idswakeup - Network intrusion detection system "waker"
SYNOPSIS
idswakeup source destination [ count ] [ TTL ]
DESCRIPTION
This manual page briefly documents the idswakeup command.
- This manual page was written for the Debian GNU distribu
- tion because the original program does not have a manual page.
- idswakeup is a tool to test network intrusion detection
- systems. It sends many common network attacks signatures, usually
- recognized by network intrusion detection systems, using hping2
- and iwu , in order to make sure the detection procedure is opera
- tional.
OPTIONS
- source Source adress to use for generated IP packets dur
- ing the test.
- destination
- IP adress of the NIDS to test.
- count Number of times to run the test.
- TTL Generated packets TTL.
