NAME

thconvert -- Therion data update conversion script

SYNOPSIS

thconvert

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents thconvert, which is part of the
therion package.
This manual page was written for the Debian distribution
because the original program does not have a manual page.
thconvert is a script that attempts to update data created
with earlier versions of therion. There were incompatible data
format changes made in therion 0.2.6, 0.2.10 and 0.2.12. These
changes are, unfortunately, not compatible between therion ver
sions so data must be converted. It is written in perl.
To use the script change directory to the directory con
taining your therion data. Then run thconvert. It will recurse
down the tree looking for .th, .th2 and thconfig files and updat
ing them. The files changed are listed followed by the number of
changes of each type made in each file.
The version 0.2.6 change was to the -station, -name and
-id attributes. -name is replaced by -id, and -station is re
placed by -name. The version 0.2.10 change is that data and
enddata are replaced by centreline and endcentreline. The
version 0.2.12 change is that the export command in thconfig
files has a changed syntax for the projection given after the
'map' or 'atlas' specifier.

OPTIONS

thconvert takes no options.
