NAME

update-motd - Automatically generate the message-of-the-day (MOTD)

SYNOPSIS

update-motd

DESCRIPTION

update-motd is a script that will dynamically print a message-of-theday according to the output of scripts installed by the administrator in /etc/update-motd.d.

update-motd is usually installed in /etc/profile.d, where it executes on login.
