ganeti-master(8)
NAME
ganeti-master - ganeti master startup script
SYNOPSIS
ganeti-master [ -d ] { start | stop }
DESCRIPTION
The ganeti-master is the program that activates the cluster IP on the
master node.
The script will first check to see if the IP is not already alive on
the cluster (on another node). If so, it wil abort the startup.
If the master IP is unreachable, the script will add the IP to the master_netdev interface (as configured at cluster init time) with the
label the name of the interface plus ``:0'', so that the new IP shows
up as a subinterface. After that, it will send three gratuitous ARP
updates so that the switch updates its tables immediatly (instead of
after expiry).
EXIT CODES
0 successfull exit, IP activated
1 failed to add the IP to the interface
11 this node doesn't have the master role, no action taken
- 12 the configuration of the node is not complete; most probably,
- this node is not part of a cluster
- 13 the IP is reachable on the network, activation aborted
- 14 argument error - the script should be called with either the
- start or stop arguments
