gnome-shell - Graphical shell for the GNOME desktop
SYNOPSIS
gnome-shell [options]
DESCRIPTION
GNOME Shell provides core user interface functions for the GNOME 3
desktop, like switching to windows and launching applications. GNOME
Shell takes advantage of the capabilities of modern graphics hardware
and introduces innovative user interface concepts to provide a visually
attractive and easy to use experience.
OPTIONS
- -r, --replace
- Replace the running metacity/gnome-panel
- -v, --verbose
- Shows details about the results of running `gnome-shell'.
- -g, --debug
- Run under a debugger
- --debug-command
- Command to use for debugging (defaults to 'gdb --args')
- --sync
- Make X calls synchronously, useful when debugging down X errors
- --xephyr
- Run a debugging instance inside Xephyr
- --geometry
- Specify Xephyr screen geometry
- -w, --wide
- Use widescreen (1280x800) with Xephyr
- --create-extension
- Create a new GNOME Shell extension
- --eval-file
- Evaluate the contents of the given JavaScript file
