NAME
- play-sample - a utility to play raw files and wave files
- on your soundcard.
SYNOPSIS
play-sample [options] filename
DESCRIPTION
- play-sample can be used to play the recorded samples with
- cdrom-record or record. It also playes all other non-compressed
- wave-files.
OPTIONS
- -c nr
- The number of channels to use. This can be 1 for a
- mono and 2 for stereo. Will be overruled if wave-file is used.
- -s freq. in Hz
- The samplerate of the inputfile. This option is nec
- essary if you play a sample or track recorded in raw mode in an
- other samplerate than your default. Common samplerates are: 8
- kHz, 11.025, 12 kHz, 16 kHz, 22.050, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz.
- -b 8 or 16
- Force to play the sample in 8 or 16 bits per sample.
- -f format
- The input format is the type of file the data will
- was stored in. Possible formats are wav, pcm, cdr, ima3, ima4,
- ima5. The wave format is the default format and is not capable of
- reading additional information.
- -A device
- The device to use for dsp (default is /dev/dsp)
- -q To record a track without showing the remaining time
- counter during the recording.
- -h To display help on the available options.
