NAME

play-sample - a utility to play raw files and wave files
on your soundcard.

SYNOPSIS

play-sample [options] filename

DESCRIPTION

play-sample can be used to play the recorded samples with
cdrom-record or record. It also playes all other non-compressed
wave-files.

OPTIONS

-c nr
The number of channels to use. This can be 1 for a
mono and 2 for stereo. Will be overruled if wave-file is used.
-s freq. in Hz
The samplerate of the inputfile. This option is nec
essary if you play a sample or track recorded in raw mode in an
other samplerate than your default. Common samplerates are: 8
kHz, 11.025, 12 kHz, 16 kHz, 22.050, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz.
-b 8 or 16
Force to play the sample in 8 or 16 bits per sample.
-f format
The input format is the type of file the data will
was stored in. Possible formats are wav, pcm, cdr, ima3, ima4,
ima5. The wave format is the default format and is not capable of
reading additional information.
-A device
The device to use for dsp (default is /dev/dsp)
-q To record a track without showing the remaining time
counter during the recording.
-h To display help on the available options.
