powertweakd(8)
NAME
powertweakd - Powertweak daemon
SYNOPSIS
powertweakd [--config-file file] [--no-daemon] [--no-info] [--profiledir dir]
DESCRIPTION
The powertweakd daemon applies configuration tweaks to the system. It
is primarily intended to be controlled using the powertweak or gpowertweak programs.
OPTIONS
- -c, --config-file
- Specify the file to read settings from.
- --no-daemon
- Run in the foreground rather than as a daemon.
- --no-info
- Do not use information-only tweaks.
- -p, --profile-dir
- Specify the directory in which profile information can be found
- --version
- Show the version of program then exit.
FILES
- /etc/powertweak/tweaks
- Default configuration file. When the set of currently active tweaks is saved they will be stored in this file. On startup powertweakd will parse this file (unless another is specified with the -c or --config-file options) and apply the tweaks defined to the system.
SECURITY CONSIDERATIONS
powertweakd can be used to make hardware and kernel level changes to
your system configuration. These changes may adversely affect system
performance and may lead to system crashes or data corruption. Due
caution should therefore be exercised when using this program.
